Kick It Up Blue

Kick it up Blue Soccer Clinic is a free introduction to soccer for children with autism. We are excited to close out Autism Awareness Month with this new activity brought to you by Millburn School District 24 and Lindenhurst Area Soccer Club.

The program is led by US Soccer licensed trainers along with certified Special Education instructors. It is designed to introduce soccer to children with Autism in a safe, controlled and non-competitive environment. Children will participate in trainer-led activities that will introduce the basic skills of soccer while giving support and encouragement. The clinic will focus as much on introducing soccer as it does on building self-confidence, new friendships, and promoting a healthy active lifestyle.

We will introduce each soccer related skill through fun games and activities. We will allow all participants sensory breaks so that no one gets overwhelmed by the new activities. The afternoon will end with a scrimmage game where we will invite parents to participate along with their child. All clinic participants will receive a free t-shirt supporting the clinic and Autism Awareness month.
