Juniors Spring 2024 Training

8 week training begins the week of April 2nd

Get your little one active and seasoned in the game of soccer!

LASC Juniors for ages 4-12 is a fun, stress-free entryway into the Lindenhurst Area Soccer Club. The LASC Juniors program is led by US Soccer licensed, experienced trainers with many years of coaching experience. It promotes player growth and skill development in a fun, less-competitive environment.

LASC Juniors is a cultivated activity program that helps focus on improved motor skills to help continue to provide a foundation for an active lifestyle. All players will participate in trainer-led sessions that allow for maximum touches on the ball, help build confidence, while encouraging skillful/creative play through the use of a fun and imaginative program.. To maximize development, all players will have their own ball for the technical training at the start of each practice. The session will then conclude with a small-sided game where the players can put their new skills to the test.

We have 3 program offerings:

Juniors- A great beginners program for players that are new to soccer.  This group meets once weekly and the focus is on the FUNdementals: physical fitness, teamwork, basic soccer skills, and developing the players' love of the game.

Academy - The LASC Academy provides players with one practice per week,  and academy style scrimmages at the weekend where players have new teammates for every session. We start working on more challenging skills and introduce tactical aspects of the game.

LASC Rec League  - A new program for the 2024 Spring season. The LASC Rec League will help prepare players for making the step up to competitive soccer. Players from the same birth year will be divided into teams at the beginning of the season and will train and play as a group for the 8 weeks. The goal of the program is to provide the players with the technical and tactical skills required to make a competitive team at tryouts in May. This group meets twice weekly with a midweek practice and small sided game on the weekend. There is also the opportunity for a volunteer parent-led team practice.

Our goals for ages 4-12 are to develop their skills as we prepare them for game play and competitive club soccer, all the while keeping it fun so they stay interested for years to come.
