Meet the Board of Directors

TJ Kelly

TJ and his wife Laura have lived in Lindenhurst since 2001. They have 3 children, two of which play for LASC. In his spare time, TJ enjoys playing soccer & golf, being active, and traveling with his family. TJ was born on the south side of Chicago and grew up in Peoria, IL. He graduated from Peoria Notre Dame High School in 1994. From there, he went to Lincoln College on a soccer scholarship, graduating with an Associates Degree in 1996. TJ graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in 1999. TJ states that being elected President of LASC is one of the proudest moments of his life and he currently really is, "Living the Dream". 

TJ is currently helping teach Physical Education in Antioch School District 34. He has worked in local schools for the past 5 years. Prior to that, he had a successful sales career before happily becoming a stay at home dad. 

Soccer Experience:
TJ has played soccer since he was a young child. Falling in love with the sport at a very young age, TJ started in the park district and then moved on to club soccer playing through high school. TJ was a 4 year varsity letterman in high school and was awarded a scholarship to play soccer in college. TJ continues playing even today.
Coaching Experience:
TJ began coaching in high school working with the girls goalkeepers as well as coaching various youth teams. TJ traveled around the country coaching while running soccer camps for the MLS. TJ coached all three of his children in the Lindenhurst Park District before earning both his USSF "F" and "E" licenses and starting coaching for LASC. TJ has been both an Assistant and Head coach for LASC as well as being the clubs Goalkeeper Trainer.

My wife, Courtney, and I have 3 children (Anna-19, Elle-15 and Will – 13); we have lived in Grayslake for 20 plus years. I grew up in Lake Forest and graduated from Lake Forest High school in 1989 and then went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts from Barat College.

I have worked in the Industrial Sales field for the 24 years with such companies at General Electric, Phoenix Contact and Eaton Corporation. I currently work for Gexpro as an Outside Sales Representative. Working from home allows me flexibility to better be available to my family and community.

Soccer Experience:
I started playing soccer at the age of 5 with the local AYSO league; I played four years at Lake Forest High School. After high school, I left soccer to play rugby and softball. In 2008-2013, I played in a 30-year old competitive pick up league. Most of my experience was as a goalie therefore I have a comprehensive perspective of the game.

Coaching Experience:
I have served as Head Coach of the LASC U15 Girls Select team and the LASC U17 Girls Select team, I served as an assistant soccer coach for 6-year old recreation soccer with the Grayslake Park District; served as a head coach for T-ball for the age group of 6/7 year old; served as an Assistant Head Coach for 3v3 soccer tournament in the summer of 2016. I was an Assistant Head Coach for the Mundelein Magic U14 girls select team for the 2016/2017 season.

I currently hold my US Soccer Federation F and E licenses.

Megan Hener

Megan and her husband live in Gurnee with their two daughters Grace (U12 Premier) and Madalyn (U11Premier.) Megan is originally form Chicago and has lived in Lake County for 15 years. Growing up she has participated in several sports including basketball, softball, and cheerleading. She has been part of the soccer world since her daughters began playing 6 years ago. 

Megan is an active member of the community and volunteers her time to several area charities including animal rescues, homeless shelters and food panties. She has been teaching for 14 years, and sponsors multiple school clubs. She is also the chair-person for several fundraising committees at her school, and at her daughters' school as well. Megan looks forward to serving the LASC community, and helping it grow to its fullest potential.

Brian Burns

For the past 16 years, Brian Burns and his family have lived in Round Lake Beach.  Brian and his two children also spend a lot of time in the Lake Prairie Indian Guides and Princesses organization. Based in Lake County, the Indian Guide program has several hundred members that focus on building strong bonds and lasting memories between parents and their children. He has successfully held many leadership roles and responsibilities within this group for over 9 years.  

Brian currently works for the 19th Judicial Circuit Courts of Lake County, IL. and holds a B.S. in Computer Science. He's been serving the people of the 19th Judicial Circuit Courts since 2006.  

Soccer Experience

The Burns Family have been part of LASC for the last 4 years. His son, Kyle, plays for the Boys U14 Premier team and his daughter, Katie, plays for the Girls U11 Premier team. Brian currently holds his US Soccer Federation F and E licenses and has been the U14 assistant coach for the past 3 years. 

He's also very involved with a group of volunteers that maintain the LASC fields each season.

Tracy Weber

Tracy and her husband Mike have been Lindenhurst residents for 15 years and have two sons: Tyler-12 and Noah-
9. She is very active in the community and with her children’s extracurricular activities. In her spare time, she
enjoys volunteering at local charities, playing on a recreational volleyball team, listening to live music and spending
quality time with friends and family. Tracy grew up in Merrillville, IN and graduated from Merrillville H.S. in 1991.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Roosevelt University. She is proud to be
associated with this club and hopes to bring more awareness to the value LASC delivers.

Tracy has been employed with the same trade association for twenty-three years. Currently, she is the Associate
Director of the association’s charitable arm where she oversees three signature programs. Tracy is eager to utilize
her leadership skills to help make a difference by driving the mission and overall vision of LASC in order to continue
benefiting the youth in the community.

Soccer Experience:
Tracy proudly became a soccer Mom in 2015 when her son Noah (U10 Premier) showed an interest and entered
the park district program. Noah joined LASC in January 2017 and Tracy became his #1 fan. She and her husband are
exceedingly pleased with the growth Noah has shown from the coaching and training he has received through
LASC, and with the soccer “family” they gained as well.

Coaching Experience:
Tracy’s coaching experience occurs in the form of mentoring in the workplace. Her longtime tenure allows her to
offer advice to her staff and interns, and colleagues alike while earning a sense of pride knowing her words and
knowledge may benefit others in the workplace. She shares this exuberant attitude and willingness to teach when
interacting with the talented youth engaged with LASC. 

Andy Alexander

Andy and his wife, Amy, have lived in Lindenhurst since 2018 relocating from Geneva, IL. Two of their three kids play for LASC – Abby and Adam. Allie enjoys supporting her siblings when not dancing or playing basketball.


Andy has invested his past 15 years in the Construction and Facilities fields. He is a Regional Facilities Manager at Uline overseeing properties in CO, IL, TX and WI.

Soccer Experience:

Most of Andy’s career was as a goalkeeper, and he played at Western Michigan University and for the Detroit Dynamite. As a member of the Michigan Maple Leafs and LOBOS ’78 club teams he has traveled to Europe twice competing in tournaments and local friendly matches in England, Scotland, Sweden and Holland.

Coaching Experience:

Andy has trained goalkeepers at the high school and club levels.

Utilizing his experience, Andy’s desire is to continue building LASC into an elite soccer club known for hard work, integrity, sportsmanship, and family values through fundamental, creative and expert soccer instruction.
